Blizzard of Ozz
Ozzy Osbourne's 1981 solo debut album Blizzard of ozz was a masterpiece of neo-classical metal that, along with VanHalen's first album became a cornerstone of 80's metal guitar. Blizzard of ozz guitarist Randy Rhoads demonstrated not only his ear for melody but his application of classical-guitar techniques and scales just as radically as Eddie Van Halen had. Rhoads could hold his own as a flashy soloist, but his detailed, ambitious compositions and arrangements revealed his true depth, all of this may seem to downplay the importance of Ozzy himself, which shouldn't be the case at all. The music is a thoroughly convincing match for his lyrical obsession with the dark side it's unequivocally stamped with Ozzy's personality, what's more the band is far more versatile and subtle than Sabbath, freeing Ozzy from his habit of singing in unison with the guitar (and proving that he had an excellent grasp of how to frame his limited voice). Nothing short of revelatory, Blizzard of ozz deservedly made Ozzy a star, and it set new standards for musical virtuosity in the realm of heavy metal. |

IRON MAIDEN - NUMBER OF THE BEAST
Since the eighties Iron Maiden's album Number of the Beast has always been a talked about album not for the mysterious happenings while making it but the strong numbers that make the album a classic . It has been praised as one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time . Songs such as Hallowed be thy Name, Children of the Damned , Run to the Hills and the title track Number of the Beast, have always given Iron Maidens twin guitar sound , The N.O.T.B album was the brainchild of Steve Harris who had been watching Damien Omen II and had had a nightmare and the rest his history. The band had asked the famous horror film actor Vincent Price to read the intro , however according to Bruce Dickinson, Price refused to do it for anything less than £25,000. They then heard of someone who read ghost stories at Capitol Records and got him to do it. The man was a theatre actor named Barry Clayton .who read the intro from Book of Revelations, Chapter 13, Verse 18.Clayton was not the only guest speaker on the album the track The Prisoner actor Patrick Mcgoohan from the featured Tv program.

He stated in the magazine that when you are out on the road on a bus sleeping with a guy's smelly sock in your face, it's like you're on the highway to hell.
